And to educate online sellers so that they make the better choices in hiring a bookkeeper when they no longer can keep up themselves. And along the way to teach financial literacy so that you can use the numbers from financial statements to make better decisions about the entire business. Not just focused on the very important core sales operation metrics that you can get on the sales platform.

About Maravedi VIII
Maravedi VIII was founded to provide accounting support to creative people who sell online. We are excited to now offer our brand of bookkeeping services, 5-Gen Books, to other online sellers based anywhere in the United States.

What is a maravedi?
Maravedi is an early unit of account used in Spain beginning in the late middle ages. You may be familiar with gold doubloon coins from the pirate days. Spanish gold coins were worth hundreds of maravedis. Small change was copper coins called maravedis and stamped with the number of maravedis. I like the Maravedi VIII coin. A cool penny of it’s day! The sound of the word is just musical (the accent is on the final –di).
